CONTEXT wins a place on the UK’s Best Workplaces™ ranking

Trust, engagement and leadership are key to creating a high performing, competitive business

London, 4th May 2017 – CONTEXT, the European IT market research company, was named by Great Place to Work® as one of the UK’s Best Workplaces™ in the Medium category (organisations with 50-499 employees) in its annual Best Workplaces™ ranking announced at a gala dinner on 3rd May.

Ranked 50th, this is the first time CONTEXT has achieved this honour which recognises the company as having a high trust, engaged workplace culture. This is the driving force behind our ability to attract, retain and develop talent, fomenting business success.

The methodology behind the ranking is one of the most rigorous available and uniquely comprises both an employee survey and an audit into our organisation’s management and HR practices. The award recognises the strength of our leadership and the range of innovative, creative and effective HR policies we have which contribute to our successful workplace culture.

“We always knew CONTEXT was a good place to work, but to be nominated as one of the UK’s best is fantastic news and testament to the high levels of trust and engagement we have here,” says Jeremy Davies, CEO & Co-Founder.

“We want people in CONTEXT to be motivated to be the best by working in a company that strives for excellence in everything it does: both internally for its employees, and externally for its clients. That will continue into the future as we look to move even higher up the rankings going forward.

Nominated to the prestigious list in the 4th year of its GPTW journey, CONTEXT has consistently invested significant time and resources into making the firm a ‘great place to work’, benefitting from an open dialogue between executives and staff through seven specialised focus groups and CONTEXT’s ‘People’s Day’.

River Thames cruises, days out to vineyards and country estates might have caught the eye among a long list of fun new social events for staff, but these efforts were matched with important long-term projects focusing on training, improvements to salary and benefits, more involvement in the local community and better communication and recognition
internally.

Tom O’Byrne, Great Place to Work® CEO said: ‘We are delighted to see CONTEXT on our Best Workplaces™ list this year. It is a validation of the strength of their leadership and their commitment to creating the kind of culture which attracts and retains the best talent and where people have pride in what they do and want to do their best. The hallmark of a great workplace like CONTEXT is that their policies and practices are designed around the employee; this employee focus helps attract and retain the talent essential for driving and sustaining competitive performance. It is no coincidence that high trust organisations like CONTEXT also tend to perform better than their peers.’

“We always knew CONTEXT was a good place to work, but to be nominated as one of the UK’s best is fantastic news and testament to the high levels of trust and engagement we have here,” says Jeremy Davies, CEO & Co-Founder.
