The following instructions and conference etiquette are provided in order for you to make the most out of your experience with the Context Teleconference.

During The Conference

Before the Call

  • Please be available ten minutes before the scheduled time of the conference.

To Place the Call

  • Dial into the conference with the number provided a few minutes before the start time.
  • Be prepared to give your name, company name and the password. Entry will be by verified by password and checks on company and name supplied in your registration information.
  • Late callers will not be admitted after the start time.

During the Call

  • ALL LINES WILL BE LISTEN ONLY DURING THE PRESENTATION to eliminate background noise.
  • Do not put your telephone on hold - especially if you have music on hold.
  • Keep in mind that speakerphones are very sensitive and pick up the smallest noises - even someone typing on PCI.
  • Speaker microphones should be muted when not in use.

Calling from a Cellular Phone

  • If at all possible, do not use a cellular phone on a Teleconference call.
  • If necessary, try to use a cellular in a stationary place, so that the phone line does not fade while you are speaking.
  • Cellular phones do not always carry the security level that a host or participant may require. Cross talk as well as crossed lines can occur, allowing persons not invited into the Teleconference to hear the business discussed.

Calling from a Public Telephone

  • When you use a public telephone (i.e. Airport, Restaurant) check to see if they can provide you with a "quiet room" to use for the duration of the Teleconference.

Calling from Home

  • If possible, go into a room where you will not be disturbed and close the door to ensure that the noise will be minimal.
  • Try to avoid kitchens - running water is easily heard over telephone lines.
  • If you have children and/or pets, try to keep them quiet or at least away from the telephone you are using for the conference call.
  • If your home phone has a mute button, you should use it when not speaking.
