Context SalesWatch reports deliver the most complete market data available today on product sell-through in Europe's IT distribution market.

This aggregated sales data from Europe's leading IT distributors, including Context's exclusive partnership with the Global Technology Distribution Council (GTDC), a consortium of worldwide IT product wholesale distributors, makes us the definitive source for point-of-sale (POS) sell through information for the entire European IT distribution market.

Methodology

Data is collected weekly and monthly from over sixty major pan-European and local country distributors, including exclusive reporting to Context by GTDC members across EMEA.

All information is delivered electronically to Context, where a six-sigma quality control methodology cleans the data before inclusion into the Context database. Reports are available a week after the end of the week being researched. (The List of Members of the Context Panel reporting Sales-Out data for each type of channel is available per country upon request.)

The Channels reported are split as follows:


- SalesWatch Business: Reseller and Etailer sales to business customers, split by: Corporate Reseller, Dealer and Mail Order / Etailer
- SalesWatch Consumer: Multiple Retailer and E-tailer sales to final users, split by: Multiple Retailer and Mail Order / Etailer

SalesWatch Distribution reports provide the following features:


- The figures included in SalesWatch Distribution are based on the purest type of sales tracking: "Panel data"
- The panel data present the aggregation of sales volumes coming from key channel partners with a simple standardisation of vendors' description based on Context standards.
- The Distributor data is then split into two channels: Volume and Value (the Value Channel includes distributors sales to Corporate Resellers and Dealer/Local Resellers, whereas the Volume Channel includes distributors sales to Mail Order Companies and Multiple Retailers).
- The data is not tampered with or used for projection. What you see is what our partners per country have reported.
- The data is collected from Context's own Panel and from the Context exclusive partnership with the Global Technology Distribution Council (GTDC) and may be reported weekly or monthly.

Channel coverage:
- Distributor aggregated sales data from Europe's leading IT channel partners.
- Data includes sales through Distribution to the Consumer ("Volume") and Business ("Value") channels

SalesWatch Classic reports provide the following features:

- Sales-Out data from both the Business and Consumer Channels collected from the members of the Context Panel, then calibrated and projected to the Total Indirect Market


o Dealer data is collected via Distributors or directly form major resellers
o Corporate Account Resellers data is collected directly from Resellers selling to Large Enterprises and from Distributors
o Mail Order data is collected directly from Mail Order Companies and from Distributors
o Multiple Retailers data is collected directly from Multiple Retailers and from Distributors

Data Granularity

In both SalesWatch Distribution and SalesWatch Classic reports aggregated sales data is presented down to individual product level showing unit sales and revenues. Analysis is possible by country, channel, target customer and product attributes, including but not limited to:

o Prod Range
o Part No

Context SalesWatch data may be delivered via the Context Analyzer platform, the latest generation business tool enabling top-level views of data all the way down to individual product level, tracking of product sales and revenues, market shares, identification of price/volume 'sweet spots', and ongoing market sizing and brand. (Analyzer Users are entitled to a free demonstration of the tool features.)

It may alternatively be delivered as a data-feed into customer application, whereby the output from Context database is mapped to the customer's database requirements and a delivery mechanism implemented according in-house data processing facilities, or via a standard spreadsheet designed and implemented according to the user's needs.
